The CRIB!

For the 3rd night in a row Mia is sleeping in her CRIB!

I had been telling myself that we needed to start trying the crib again. She had been sleeping in the pack-n-play next to our bed. When we tried the crib after we came home from China she was terrified of it. She would play in it but if you laid her down in it while she was awake to sleep she would scream. If you laid her down asleep and she woke up she would scream. I think it was more that she couldn't physically SEE us when she woke up that scared her. But now that she knows we will come to her when she wakes up she is a little more ok with it. She still cries when she can't see us when she wakes up (or when she's awake for that matter!!!) but she calms down quickly now!

The other night I rocked her to sleep in my arms and then laid her in her crib. She woke up about 5 times that night but she never screamed the fearful scared-to-death-whimpering-for-an-hour-after-you-take-her-out cry she had before. I went in each time and reassured her, laid her back down and she went back to sleep. Each night it has gotten less that she wakes up. I think we are on a roll here!!!!

I do have to say though that my mommy side really misses having her right next to me at night. I just like the ability to lean over and make sure she is ok. But she cannot sleep in a pack-n-play forever!
