Sometimes Life Just Sucks

I posted in the last post that my grandma had a stroke last Wednesday. I went to see her Friday. Her stroke was a critical stroke and she is not expected to live much longer. She is a very strong woman and is holding strong but she is very weak. I stayed with her until yesterday when I finally decided to come back home. I hate to see her this way. It is so sad. I love her very much and she tells me "I know. I love you too." She is such a beautiful woman. Always caring about others. I pray for her comfort and peace during this time.

Yesterday my husband took two of our dogs in to get spayed. He brought them home about an hour before I got here. One of them was visibly not doing as well as the other. She was breathing heavy, seeping blood from her incision. At 130 this morning Brian took her out to go potty and she collapsed in the yard. We assumed it was because she was so weak from not eating. We helped her back in. This morning we took her out again and she did the same thing. Only this time I could not get her to stand back up. I had to almost carry her inside. We called the vet and they told us to bring her in as soon as they opened. They asked me to leave her so they could monitor her and xray her chest. About half an hour later they called and said she wasn't doing good. Long story short, they almost lost her 3 times in 3 hours. We went there to see her and her heart failed again. We had to let her go. It was so sad. We just took her in to have her spayed. And now she is gone. She was just running around in the yard two days ago.

Want more bad news? The latest rumor is that the CCAA is only going to get through Sept 7th. That means that our likelihood of getting our referral in April is out the window.

What a painful time for you - I'm so sorry your dealing with all this at the same time. It always seems to happen that way, doesn't it?
Life just dumps on us at times.
Hang in there, and I'll send out some positive energy in your direction!

Hi, My name is Kim, I have been reading your blog for sometime but this is the first time I have posted. My husband and I are in the adoption process as well and the wait is so very very hard, especially when we aren't see much progress. I am fairly new to the blog world I have just recentlly started my own blog. I am leaving you a post because your post really touched me. I loved my nanny(grandmother) so much myself. I know what you are going through and I am so sorry you are having such a rough time. I wanted to let you know that I will be praying for you.

I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandmother. I also am upset about the news of your dog. I JUST made an appointment for my puppy to be spayd. I would never expect there to be a problem with something like that. I'm so sorry.
