Well shiiii-ooooot.

A little math for you all....
$545.00 (I-600A renewal)
70.00 (biometrics -fingerprints-Brian)
70.00 (biometrics me)
625.00 (Homestudy update)
10.00 (copay for medical update-Sara)
+10.00 (copay for medical update-Brian)
_________
$1330.00 (cost of renewing paperwork because China is taking so long to get us our referral!)

Having our daughter in our arms forever....priceless!

We will be updating our homestudy this weekend and will then send everything to the USCIS office for renewal of our I-171H (I-600A - petition to bring an orphan from another country into the U.S.). The reason we have to do this is because the one we originally applied for expires in July. They are only good for 18 months. Because it is taking so long to get our referral from China, we have to renew it. The fact that we have to pay $1330 to renew this form is rediculous! The fact that a homestudy agent charges you $625 to change a couple numbers and items on a homestudy that is already typed up and completed and then print it off is also rediculous.
But what can you do?????

Tell me about it!! We had a Special Needs update done for our home study and they charged us $225.00 for a few minor changes in the original home study. UGH! We're going on Wednesday to get our fingerprints re-done ($140.00)....someday I'll have my little boy home in my arms!!!

Yep - we'll be going through the same thing soon enough. We are a few months behind you - but it still sucks....22 days a month...22 days a month!!!
