Remember when they used to say Mars was the "fire" planet??
I just heard on the news that today it is negative 112 degrees farenheit on Mars! They are hoping the ($557 million) Phoenix Mars Lander can get its work done before it freezes up! The weather is supposed to get to -200 degrees! Holy Cow!
So the purpose of this mission is to determine if organic life is possible on Mars... In -200 degree weather??? yeah. right. Do we really need to spend this kind of money to see if organic life can grow on Mars???
